Camille Beyrouthy

Co-founder, CEO

He is the Co-founder and CEO of Escale Labs . With upwards 20 years of experience in areas of consulting and management, he worked for various institutions supporting them in their digital transformations. Formally, he was the chief operating officer and head of strategy of the Saudi real-estate refinancing company (SRC), a PIF company. A role where he oversaw the establishment of the first mortgage aggregator in the region as well the setup of the benchmark mortgage fixed rate in the KSA. He was an advisor to the Saudi Housing Minister and an advisor to the board of the Saudi Refinancing company as well as a member of its executive committee. He began his career as an assistant professor at the American university of Beirut, and has multiple publications in Operations Research, Mathematical Programming, and Financial Mathematics. Camille holds a Bachelor of Engineering, a Masters in algorithms and applied Mathematics and a PhD in Artificial Intelligence and Combinatorial Optimisation from the university of Nottingham.

Samer Oukaili

Partner, Program Director

Samer Oukaili is a seasoned leader and entrepreneur with more than 15 years of experience in building and driving businesses around technology. Having worked and led businesses for blue-chip companies like Siemens and Mitsubishi Electric, he has extensive knowledge around building products, bringing them to market, and scaling for growth. Samer is currently managing director of Dviz Technologies Inc., a data automation and AI company he founded in 2022 serving organizations that rely heavily on data to improve both their top and bottom lines. Samer also co-founded MyAhmed a fintech focusing on the unbanked and underbanked taking on two hats as head of data and chief operating officer from 2021 to 2022. Prior to his entrepreneurship journey, Samer was the global head of energy storage for Siemens turning over +$100M of business with global P&L responsibility. In this role, he handled product technology development/roadmap, regional competency buildup, as well as sales and customer success management. Samer’s skills span from initial stages of product development to product/market fit, direct/indirect B2B sales, building winning teams, and managing P&L.

Jaafar Jaafar

Senior Manager, Business Development

Jaafar has over 20 years of experience working in the UAE , mostly with government agencies and FreeZones. He brings a breadth of experience in corporate and business formation in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. He spent 10 years for KEZAD, as Incorporation manager where he oversaw in the esatablishment of upwards 500 companies and incorporated many others in his previous work at Rakez and Jafza. he has a degree in business from the Arab University in Beirut and has a certificate in business development from the CUD

Sana has more than seven years of experience in public sector policy, economic analysis, and macroeconomic and financial modelling. She has conducted econometric analysis to determine correlations and elasticities, focusing on areas within the energy sector in particular. This has included projecting energy demand under various scenarios for economic growth, oil prices, and pricing and allocation policies. She has also conducted economic and financial analysis following World Bank and Asian Development Bank guidelines for investment projects, including calculating project IRRs and performing sensitivity analysis. She has participated in socio-economic impact assessments, producing social, cultural and economic baselines, and macroeconomic assessments. Her experience spans consulting companies like KPMG UK and Hagler Bailly Pakistan, an energy and environmental consultancy firm. She started her professional career after receiving her Bachelor of Commerce (Economics and Finance) degree from the University of Toronto in 2008.
